Banana Cake

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 ripen banana
  • 60g molten butter
  • 150g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 50-80mL milk
  • 250g plain flour
  • 1tsp baking soda
  • A pinch of salt

  • 15cm cake pan

Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  2. Squash the banana using a fork and add in 60g of molten butter, mix well.
  3. Add 150g of sugar, 1 beaten egg and 1tsp of vanilla extract, mix well.
  4. Mix 50mL of milk into the batter.
  5. Sieve in 250g of plain flour, 1tsp of baking soda and a pinch of salt into the batter in three additions, mix well.
  6. Depending on how moist the batter is, add up to a total of 80mL of milk accordingly.
  7. Pour the batter into the cake pan, bake at 175°C for an hour.
