Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 200g of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3g salt
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 320g plain flour
  • 3g baking powder
  • 2g bicarbonate of soda
  • 300g chocolate chips

Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C.
  2. Smooth 200g of softened unsalted butter with a spatula.
  3. Add 200g of sugar, mix well.
  4. Add in 2 eggs one at a time, mix after each addition.
  5. Add 3g of salt and 1tsp of vanilla extract, mix well.
  6. Sieve in 320g of plain flour, 3g of baking powder and 2g of bicarbonate of soda, mix well.
  7. Add 300g of chocolate chips into the dough, mix well.
  8. Refrigerate the dough for 30mins.
  9. Use a cookie scoop or your hands to form smaller balls of dough, place the dough onto a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 190°C for 12mins.
Tips
  • A mixture of dark chocolate chips and white chocolate chips can be used to enhance the flavour.
  • For the cookies I made, each of them weighed about 80g.
