Ingredients:

  • 150g walnuts (optional)
  • 250g 70% dark chocolate
  • 220g unsalted butter
  • 380g sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 pinch fine salt
  • 150g plain flour
  • 150g Lotus Biscoff spread

  • Sieve
  • Mixing bowl

Steps:

  1. Chop 150g of walnuts into smaller pieces.
  2. Melt and mix 250g of chocolate and 220g of unsalted butter in a hot water bath.
  3. Add 380g of sugar, 6 eggs and a pinch of salt to the mixture, mix well.
  4. Sieve in 150g of plain flour, mix well.
  5. Fold the chopped walnuts into the mixture.
  6. Melt 150g of Lotus Biscoff spread.
  7. Pour half of the mixture into  a baking tray.
  8. Pour 2/3 of the molten Lotus Biscoff spread evenly onto the base layer of the brownie batter.
  9. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the Lotus Biscoff layer.
  10. Swirl in the remaining molten Lotus Biscoff spread on the top layer.
  11. Bake at 170°C for about 25mins.
Tips

This recipe works for classic brownies too! Just omit the steps involving Lotus Biscoff spread.
